This is the fun part. Making money. Ok, let me explain what you
do with the Make Change Project. Here you have some options, and yes- they're all free, (well, free to you). You can try to
track where your Make Change dollar has been and possibly read a story or two about the travels it has been on,
you can log your Make Change dollars' serial number, and if you would like to you could even tell us your story! The best
part is that doing this makes money!
The Make Change Project was established in May of
2004 by the mother of a child with disabilities as a fun way to educate the public about the disabled community. Hopefully,
with the information provided, it will spark an interest in enough people to make the changes that so desperately need
to be made within our government, our communities, our schools, and our attitudes that affect a population that is not
going away, deserves to be heard, and has rights!
The Make Change Project has been established to raise funds for
various local and national non-profit organizations that benefit our disabled community. So here is the breakdown of how it
's done:
Every month a different local or national non-profit organization
will recieve a donation from The Make Change Project and its' various contributors ( names will be mentioned unless otherwise
requested ). These funds will be accumulated two ways:
1: For every Make Change dollar serial number logged online
during the month, The Make Change Project will make a contribution of 1 cent.
2: For every Make Change dollar serial number recieved via postcard during the month, The Make Change Project will make
a contribution of 5 cents.
